The UDS Mapper tool provides a large amount of information about Health Center Program (HCP) awardees and look-alikes, including their service area as identified by patient origin data. When in By Patient Origin mode in the Explore Service Area tool, you can select individual health center organizations and see the ZCTAs they are actually serving, according to the patient ZIP Codes reported by the health center in the UDS. Also, the Dominant Health Center layer in Main Maps shows the area where a particular health center sees the most patients. Additionally, by placing your mouse over or clicking on a ZCTA, the ZCTA Information Card in the lower left Tool Kit will show the five health centers with the largest shares of patients from that ZCTA, the number of health centers serving the population, and the number of patients who live in that ZCTA that attend any health center.
