Description
This number is calculated by the UDS Mapper. Using a population to physician ratio of 1,100 to 1 this is the estimated number of physicians needed to see the unserved low-income residents of the user-selected analysis area. This is an ideal population to physician ratio; when you perform your own calculations outside of the UDS Mapper you can use different ratios for your planning efforts. This is calculated as: Current Low-Income Population Unserved by Health Centers / 1100
